Many families in Texas have experienced burst pipes in their homes. Since Texas is not used to these freezing temperatures, most homes aren’t insulated to the extent to protect water lines from freeze.
I spent a lot of time serving in Texas after Hurricane Harvey. With this recent winter storm they are once again experiencing issues in many homes due to busted water pipes. Many that were just recently finished repairing from Harvey.
I’ve been talking with teams there and they are working to set up plumbing teams to fix pipes. One group already has 150 verified requests just in their immediate area. We are working to get teams set up to do basic repairs, cutting out broken section of pipe and adding new section with shark bite couplers on each end.
