On Wednesday, September 28, Hurricane Ian touched down in Southwest Florida. Making its way throughout several counties, the Category 4 hurricane caused much devastation from its flooding and 150+ mph winds. Many are left without power or a way to seek help.
You’ve probably seen news reports and images. We know this storm was one of the worst in the history of Florida’s hurricanes. As the floodwaters recede, we are able to see the full impact from this storm. It is an incredibly devastating scene. Many homeowners feel overwhelmed with the amount of work to be done to salvage and protect their homes and belongings. They need need our help. They need us to Build Access to Hope!
Right now, we are asking you to get involved in 3 ways.
PRAY – VOLUNTEER – DONATE
We are asking you to join us as we pray for and serve the families who faced Hurricane Ian and the aftermath it caused. Pray for those who God sends to help the families overcome.
Please consider volunteering with us to serve. As a 516 Project volunteer all you need to do is get to our host church in Port Charlotte, Florida. (address will be provided after you sign up). While you’re with us we’ll provide 3 meals a day, lodging etc. (Disaster relief FAQ) Again, more details will be sent to you with sign up. We will be serving from October 5th through October 22nd. We also need your support to respond. Please consider giving to support this outreach. You can donate by clicking HERE or by mailing your donation to 10908 Courthouse Rd Suite 102148 Fredericksburg, Va. 22408. We love you and cannot do this without you!
