As 2023 comes to an end, we stand in awe of all that God accomplished through 516 Project this year! Not only did 516 Project continue serving those in different parts of our Nation (Fredericksburg & Richmond regions of Virginia; Panama City, FL; and disaster relief work specifically in the Southeastern part of the United States), but also created a new arm of ministry called “Servings of Hope” to combat food insecurity! This ministry served over 500 meals and almost 200 desserts in less than two months. We couldn’t have established Servings of Hope, as well as continued repair and construction ministry, without your faithful gifts.
Some 516 Project highlights since January 2023 include:
- Over 500 people served (including 76 with a disability and 25 veterans)
- 152 housing projects across 5 different states
- Over 500 nutritious meals serve in just over 2 months since launching Servings of Hope
- On average, 92 volunteers per month. Serving over 11,300 labor hours to date, with work valued at over $700,000 during 2023!
These are not just numbers, but people who were served because you believed in our vision to bring hope to our communities! You financially gave so someone might have a wheelchair ramp, or a functioning bathroom, or a roof over their head. Thank you for helping us love our neighbors in 2023!
While it was an incredible past year, we want to invite you into our vision for 2024 by being part of our Hope Offering. Did you know that when you financially partner with 516 Project, you are supporting one of the few ministries that actively shares the Gospel with those served? We meet a unique niche through repairs and food service, but no one else meets that need with the compassion and evangelistic heart of 516 Project.
Our vision for 2024:
- Double the amount of wheelchair ramps we are able to provide
- Expand Roofing Revival to serve 20 families with new roofs
- Add an additional Disaster Response equipment trailer and train 50 more volunteers
- Increased training on evangelism and crisis response for leadership and volunteers
- Expand our service area around our Fredericksburg, VA and Panama City, FL locations
- And oh..did we mention.. ADDING ANOTHER LOCATION!
That’s right, we are very excited to be launching 516 Project – Ft Leonardwood. This team in Missouri has a unique opportunity to serve many veterans that now reside in the area surrounding Ft Leonardwood. This team will also help us expand our disaster response efforts further west!
