Hospitality Team Volunteer
The 516 Project Hospitality Team: you will play a vital role in bringing compassion, connection, and support to families we serve. The Hospitality Team serves as a crucial link between the completion of a project and the ongoing well-being of the families we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Post-Project Visits: Visit families after the completion of home repair projects to provide emotional support, build relationships, and ensure their overall well-being.
- Compassionate Listening: Engage in empathetic conversations with families, actively listening to their experiences, challenges, and triumphs.
- Prayer Support: Comfortably lead and participate in prayer, offering spiritual support to families.
- Assessment of Additional Needs: Identify any ongoing needs or challenges the family may be facing and communicate these to the appropriate channels within 516 Project for further assistance or referral
Qualifications:
- Strong Faith: A deep and evident commitment to one’s christian faith is essential for this role.
- Outgoing Personality: The ability to connect with people easily, fostering a welcoming and comforting environment.
- Comfortable with Prayer: Comfort and confidence in praying out loud and in a group setting.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a background check is required for all Hospitality Team volunteers.
- Training: Attend mandatory training sessions to become familiar with 516 Project’s mission, values, and protocols for engaging with families.
Time Commitment:
Flexible, based on the availability of the volunteer and the needs of the families.
