516 Project is building access to hope, and we need your help to provide dry homes to families in need.
Today, there are families in our community who don’t have a good roof over their heads. When it rains their homes become wet, unsafe, and damaged. They need our help and that’s why our organization, 516 Project, is working hard to get them the safety and comfort they deserve. Our slogan is “Building Access to Hope” and by replacing these roofs, we do just that.
Ms. Elrine has been living with buckets placed throughout her home each time it rains due to a damaged roof. As you can imagine, extensive time of a leaky roof has caused significant damage throughout her home. The consistent support from our donors has helped us to tarp her roof, which buys us some time while funding the materials needed for the full roof replacement. Aside from Ms. Elrine, we currently also have 8 pending applications for roof replacements, and more are flooding in by the day.
Materials for a roof replacement can add up, the shingles alone can cost over $2000 Even a small donation can help. For example, when you give $50, you cover the cost of a bundle of shingles. With $75, we can buy the nails we need, and $100 will help us get the ice shield and drip edge needed for a roof. Every dollar you give brings us closer to helping these families have a safe and dry home. Our goal is to raise $20,000 so we can replace at least 9 roofs.
Let’s work together to help Ms. Elrine and others have a dry and safe home.
