Tornado Response – Adamsville Tennessee

516 Project – Disaster Response Team will be building access to hope in Adamsville, TN.

Adamsville, Tenn. on Saturday, Apr. 1, 2023. A series of storms went through McNairy County throughout the night, resulting in massive property damage and casualties. 72 homes destroyed and about 40% of the county experienced damage. 516 Project is responding by building access to hope. Join us to serve these families and share hope and love with them. We are honored to be loading up and headed to serve the people of Tennessee.

“Over the past 2 weeks multiple storm systems have impacted the Southeast United States.” said James Roberson, of 516 Project. “We know many have faced heavy loss due to these storms. As we respond we will be building access to hope for those affected. Please pray, volunteer and donate to support our efforts.”

We’d love to have you join 516 Project – Disaster Response Team as we serve in Tennessee. We will be working on debris removal, tree clean up, roof tarping, etc. Our first meal will be dinner on Tuesday April 11th and the last will be dinner on Monday April 17th.

It is an incredibly devastating scene.

Homes are in need of repair and families and their belongings are displaced. The needs are great and urgent, but you can help. Our teams are ready to mobilize to meet the immediate needs of the communities affected.

Right now, we are asking you to get involved in three ways. Pray, serve, and donate.

We are asking you to join us as we pray for and serve the families who faced these tornadoes and the destruction left in their path. Pray for those who God sends to help the families overcome. Pray for the local churches as they partner with aid to bring hope to their communities.

Please consider volunteering with us to serve. As a 516 Project volunteer, all you need to do is get to our host church in Adamsville, TN (address will be provided after you sign up). While you’re with us, we’ll provide three meals a day, lodging and more. Our teams will be serving April 11 through April 17th. To sign up to volunteer click here.

We also need your financial support to respond- your generous best gift can help victims as soon as this week. Our team will be cutting downed trees, tarping roofs, removing debris and helping salvage belongings. This kind of care and encouragement often plants the seed and opens the door for the Gospel. In this way, your giving meets an immediate need and an eternal need.

Giving is easy and no gift is too big or too small. To give you can:
