Elizabeth’s Gift

Shelby and her daughter Elizabeth served with us in Kentucky. Devastating tornadoes hit just days before Christmas and our disaster response team was able to help families by removing debris, cutting up trees and tarping roofs.  Elizabeth recently turned 18, so it was her first disaster response trip. She immediately fell in love with serving and was going above and beyond to learn how to help more. She quickly became an integral part of the team!

During our trip, Shelby had the idea to make a special gift for Elizabeth. Check out this quick video that is just a little glimpse of what it means to serve.

“I am so grateful to be there helping people. It is amazing how we bonded and worked positively together in a couple of days! Thinking back we all had worked very hard and made an impact in those people.” – Elizabeth

We are so grateful to have such incredible, compassionate people serving with us and loving on the families that we get to serve.
